McKenzie is one of our co-founders. She is the lead director of the UK office and their team of associate coaches and trainers. She has been coaching and studying coaching for more than 10 years, with extensive experience delivering coach-training and coaching to teachers, students, parents and executives. She is a Co-active Coach, a certificated practitioner and coach of NLP, and a Mytho-Self Facilitator. Inspired by the impact coaching had made during her formative years, combined with a desire to enhance the lives of young people, McKenzie and Quinn Simpson partnered to form Graydin.
Quinn is one of our co-founders and lead director of the US office and a small team of associate coaches and trainers. She is an expert in motivating and inspiring others to coach and be coach-like in education and business and excels in the areas of leadership, sales, strategy development and project management. Quinn has run hundreds of workshops on coaching training, leadership and communication, as well as providing one-to-one coaching to over 400 clients. She is a certified Co-active Coach and NLP Coach Practitioner, and also co-founded Akosia, a small charity that uses coaching as a facilitation technique in filmmaking projects for underprivileged children and women.
Rachel supports Graydin’s team on their journey, as community and communications coordinator. Rachel began her career as a creative, studying Fine Art at Arts University Bournemouth. During this time, she ran the ‘Imagination Factory’, a creative club for young people, and realised her passion for impacting younger generations. Rachel studied her PGCE at Southampton University and went on to work as a primary school teacher, an Early Years trainer and most recently has reignited her creative roots in education-based marketing. Rachel is interested in building a community to support and inspire the world’s educators. When she’s not working with Graydin, you’ll find Rachel buying pretty prints for her flat, watching food videos on social media or sat in the sun, eating something delicious.
Rachel is a trainer, supervisor and certified ICF ACC coach with over ten years’ experience of coaching individuals and groups and delivering courses. Her expertise is in leadership development, sales and account/project management, and she has been trained in the Neuroscience of Coaching and Mindfulness. She is a Certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) trained by The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and a graduate of their Leadership Programme. She came from a background in youth coaching, focusing on career development and rehabilitation in the criminal justice system. For seven years, she worked internationally as a CTI Program Advisor and Coach for the UK, USA and Singapore and now manages CTI’s Corporate Department, bringing coaching and leadership training and development into companies and organisations around the world.
Tivo Rojas-Cheatham is a high-performance and learning coach as well as an education and curriculum design consultant. He is committed to teaching young people how to empower themselves and teachers how to become catalysts of great student learners. He has been a manager of a Farmworker youth mentoring program and has worked with elementary teachers and graduate-level faculty and teachers. He has a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on health education methods and is trained in embodied coaching, leadership and experiential learning.
Sonal Sodha is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and a graduate of CTI’s Co-Active Leadership Program. She holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF). From Toronto, she runs a private coaching practice with a focus on personal leadership. Sonal also creates and facilitates workshops on leadership and self-development. She began her career in healthcare as a pharmacist and holds an International MBA from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto. Prior to starting her coaching business, Sonal spent over 14 years in sales, marketing and medical roles at Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca and Bayer. She is a charismatic leader known for her playful energy, wild curiosity and ability to connect with people.
Jocelyn is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and a Professional Certified Coach with the ICF. As a Business Coach and Facilitator, she trains others in coaching and leadership development. Previously, Jocelyn spent 15 years as an independent consultant in Fashion Wholesale where she uncovered her knack for truly hearing people and inspiring them to reach their maximum potential. Jocelyn competes in triathlons and knows that a person’s mindset is the only thing getting in the way of greatness. She uses the coaching approach daily to empower her three children to be independent and unique individuals and is thrilled to work closely with those educating our youth and citizens of the future.
Megan is a trained and Certified Co-Active Coach with over seven years of experience. Her focus areas include career development, leadership and entrepreneurship. She coaches individuals and groups and facilitates workshops. Outside of coaching, Megan volunteers with Parent Gym, running skills and confidence workshops to help parents support the wellbeing of their children. Prior to becoming a coach, Megan worked in digital project management. She is also a qualified Personal Trainer, earned a certificate in Web Design and Technology from San Francisco State University, and holds a degree in Psychology from Clark University, Massachusetts.
Nicole combines her 25 years’ experience as a performer with her training as a Co-Active Coach (CPCC, PCC) and Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF) to help performing artists unleash their artistic potential and own the beauty and impact of their unique creative expression. Working with dancers, actors, singers and directors, both professional and just starting out, she teaches the mindset and tools for mental and emotional resilience that performers need. For three years, she worked as a Student Advisor in the Music Program where she also received her degree. It was there that she realized the power of coaching and mentorship. Through even the most basic coaching skills of listening, asking powerful questions and providing encouragement, she helped many students navigate this challenging stage of their life. Helping another person unlock their innate wisdom and affirm their personal greatness is her mission. To now help train teachers – the keepers of our next generation – is a tremendous honour.
Cahit Ali is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). He has also completed the Co-Active Leadership Programme, which empowers participants to lead in all areas of their lives. Cahit currently runs a successful private coaching practice, and delivers highly experiential personal leadership workshops. He also coaches within businesses in the context of wellness and mental health. Before training as a coach, Cahit earned an MA in Literature and Philosophy from Queen Mary, University of London. He worked in UK qualifications for 15 years and has been involved in educational research and publishing. In each area of his life, Cahit is guided by his passion for understanding and helping others.
Faye Kilgour is a CTI-trained coach who specialises in coaching aimed at improving communication and relationships in education and business. Faye has coached and facilitated training for educators and young professionals in schools, universities and companies across the UK. Faye’s natural ability to listen and really ‘be’ with people, coupled with her enthusiasm and determined nature, means her coaching and training style are fun and challenging. Fascinated by human behaviour, Faye is building on her coaching experience by pursing her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology and is excited about the opportunity to combine the two disciplines.
Mel is a certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) with 8 years experience spanning corporate training, Special Educational Needs coordination, psychodynamic counselling and coaching. She spent the early part of her career delivering software training courses to HR professionals before dedicating herself full time to raising two daughters. It was her experience as a parent that awakened a passion for helping young people find what inspires them and master strategies for overcoming life’s obstacles. She has coached a wide range of people, from re-connecting corporate executives with their inner “spark” and enabling them push on to their next career goal, to helping secondary school (16-18 years) and undergraduate students find positive ways to handle self-esteem and exam pressures. She has presented parent coaching talks and active listening seminars for parents of exam-age students and provides youth coaching in her local community.
Janelle is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). Her passion is to serve those who serve others and to bring connection and creativity together. She coaches privately as well for The Nest in Calgary and Okotoks, Canada. In addition to coaching, her professional career is in the non-profit world in project management and consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Janelle’s energy, ability to see patterns, and fun with metaphors help clients engage and see things in a new way while having some laughs.
Zahra is on a mission for each woman to create the best out of herself and those around her. She envisions a world where women – from teenagers to empty-nesters – recognize themselves and their impact as leaders in this world. Zahra deepens her work with coaching private clients, facilitating group workshops and, even at home, as a mom to her daughter! She combines her breadth of experience across a range of industries (not-for-profit and consumer healthcare to apparel) and disciplines (marketing and change management consulting to boards of directors) to understand the landscape women face in their personal and professional worlds. Zahra carries both the designations of Certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and the International Coach Federation (ICF), respectively.
Angela has taught in a variety of independent and state schools over the past thirty years. As Deputy Head (Staff Welfare & Development) at Latymer Upper School, London, where she was until July 2017, Angela met Graydin and experienced the transformational impact of coaching. She then decided to dedicate the rest of her career to enabling as many teachers as possible to learn to coach. Angela is a Certified Co-Active Coach trained by the Coaches Training Institute, an accredited (ACC) coach with the International Coach Federation and is currently training in Relationship Systems Coaching with CRR Global. She holds a BSc in Economics and Politics, an MA in Education Leadership and Management, and the NPQH. Angela continues to run the highly successful coaching programme at Latymer, where she has been delivering Graydin courses and one-to-one coaching for the past three years. She firmly believes that coaching can transform schools and that every teacher can coach!
Elizabeth is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and provides career transition and personal and professional Life-Leadership Coaching to individuals and groups. Elizabeth is also certified to teach the Beyond Consequences Training Course to parents and teachers. Early in her career, she worked with Walt Disney World as a professional actor, singer and performance trainer and engaged with students and educators through Theatre For Young People productions. For 11 years, Elizabeth brought her passion to the corporate world as a Senior Recruiter with Xerox Corp. where she coached hiring managers and candidates to find the perfect fit. Throughout her journey, Elizabeth has been committed to personal authenticity, grounding her clients in the foundation of their most authentic selves and celebrating all that is objectively right and good about who they are. This approach dramatically improves clients’ outlook on work and life, unlocking infinite potential and deeper connection.
Cari is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), an Accredited Member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), and a certified Nutrition Coach with Canadian Fitness Professionals. She runs a private coaching practice in Calgary with a focus on empowered wellness and activating personal potential in life, health and business. Cari also runs programs and workshops on a variety of topics, including self-sabotage awareness and positive self-concept. Prior to coaching, Cari worked in solopreneurship, civil engineering, forestry, health ethics and administration. With her degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from the University of Alberta, she worked as an Ethics Education Coordinator for Alberta Health Services. Cari also has extensive volunteer experience in crisis intervention and suicide and mental distress support. A dynamic speaker and coach, Cari has a deep belief in the power of human connection and personal potential.
Seema Sodha is an experienced coach and Leadership Trainer who brings her passion, energy and wisdom to organisations around the world. Seema spent the first 10 years of her career in the healthcare industry. Through her roles in sales, management and training, she helped hundreds of ambitious leaders to become more effective. In 2011, inspired by Steve Job’s Stanford speech, she started her own company dedicated to coaching and training. Seema has a BSc. in Psychology and Business and is a sponge for the latest developments in neuroscience and coaching. She is a certified Co-Active coach, trained by the Coaches Training Institute; a Professional Certified Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (indicating at least 500 hours of coaching) and a Certified Practitioner of the Leadership Circle Profile 360. Today, Seema’s on a mission to raise human connection and consciousness. She believes ‘coaching skills’ are the essential colour on today’s leadership colour palette. By bringing coach-like conversations to the educational system, Seema envisions that students’ brains will become more open to learning, visioning, growth and positive change.
Dan MacCombie is an entrepreneur, facilitator, and coach, trained and certified through Elevate. Dan has a private coaching practice based in New York, focused on personal and leadership growth. He also coaches and facilitates men's retreats through EVRYMAN. Dan's background crosses industries, roles and continents: he is an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at an impact investment fund called Dev Equity, was the co-founder and co-CEO of RUNA, an Amazonian tea company he started in college, and he’s a board member and advisor to a number of private companies and non-profit organisations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Brown University. Dan uses a strategic mindset, eye for results, authentic connection and emotional and somatic understanding to support clients in seeing and achieving their greatest dreams and goals.
Naomi Ward is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) who works with educators at all levels of the profession, from NQTs, support staff and classroom teachers to Head Teachers. She was an English teacher, then faculty leader in various London secondary schools for 14 years before relocating to Hampshire. During this time her passion was innovation in curriculum design and leading effective teams. After falling out of love with teaching, Naomi decided to become a coach and was excited by the question: what if all teachers had access to a coach in order to recognise their strengths, their values and their purpose? Naomi is on a mission to partner with teachers as they find their purpose and voice, in order to support the next generation of change-makers. As well as working with educators, Naomi coaches young offenders at HM Prison Feltham and is a mentor for the Kings Arms Youth Club in Petersfield.
Kate oversees everything visual at Graydin, strategizing and designing materials for web and print. She has her own design studio, where she specialises in helping entrepreneurs and artists define and communicate their story clearly and succinctly. Kate has a Master of Design and an undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology. She loves to tackle the big ideas and obsess over the tiny typography.
Laura supports Graydin with visual design. She is an independent designer based in London with a passion for visual storytelling and creative problem solving. Laura studied design at Shillington College London after spending a decade as a strategic fundraiser in the non-profit world. She holds a master's degree in Non-profit Management from The New School and a bachelor in International Studies from the University of Iowa.
Lauren works with Graydin to advise on communications strategy and help produce engaging, clear and consistent communications materials and messaging. Lauren started her communications career in the public relations agency realm and soon after moved over to the corporate world. She has more than eleven years of varied communications experience, from writing for top Canadian executives, to leading large employee change management initiatives and managing communications strategy for departments and projects. Lauren holds a bachelor of arts in English Literature from McGill University. She is also a graduate of the Humber College public relations postgraduate certificate program. She truly believes that you should never underestimate the impact of clear and concise communication.
Karen helps bring communications content to life as a writer and editor at Graydin. As a freelance academic and business editor, proofreader and writing coach, Karen’s mission is to help people convey information in a way that is both useful and helpful to their intended audiences. She was born and raised on the Canadian prairies and spent two decades working in academia and health care. Karen has an education in the biological and health sciences. She believes her diverse background is what brings strength to her writing and editing.
Christine brings her storytelling and wordsmithing skills to Graydin as part of the editorial team. Christine is a freelance editor with a unique ability and passion for reading a piece of writing through various lenses in order to connect the writer’s message to what the reader needs to hear. She has been helping academics, researchers, educators, small businesses and authors share their message with the world for over fifteen years. She is also a published author. Christine holds a Master of Arts in Women’s History, an honours bachelor of arts in English Literature and has also completed numerous editing and communication courses. Christine draws on empathy and heart to guide writers from start to finish.
Bryce is our Software Engineer and works with us to maintain our online learning portal. He has spent the last 20 years helping master teachers connect with eager students across the globe. His software platforms help teachers reach a wider audience through automated content delivery, coupled with group and one-on-one coaching. His systems have been used in such diverse areas as entertainment, neuroscience and robotics. Bryce has degrees in engineering-physics and robotics. He started his first company when he was 12 years old and has been a serial entrepreneur ever since.
Emma is our Finance Director. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Taxation Advisor, and runs HaesCooper, an accountancy practice in Kent. She has over 15 years experience in financial and management accounting at businesses of varying sizes across several sectors such as retail, and FMCG.
Laura works with Graydin to advise on organisational and operational management. This includes team management and ensuring Graydin’s internal operations run effectively and efficiently. Laura has been working in operations teams for over 10 years across the corporate and not for profit sectors. She is passionate about a culture-first approach to organisations and is a firm believer in leadership which empowers individuals in their day to day work.
